Jackie I do not know how long your milk stays viable in your country but yesterday I opened a carton of fresh milk I bought over two weeks ago and its sell by date was 01/01/2021. I know since it has been opened I will need to use it sooner than that but if you have room in your fridge you might be able to store milk longer before you have to open it.

The longest use by date (we don't have sell by dates on milk here) I have seen is for about 2 weeks if I am very lucky. I may try freezing again and try and figure out a way the milk won't taste as sweet after thawing. Just need to save another milk jug or two.

Oh wow - our Dollar Tree has it, thankfully. I do also buy the dairy version and warm some up and put it on the food for the outdoor cats when it's cold outside. I discovered that this is way less expensive than mixing canned food with the cheap dry food that I give them.

Sheila I buy my shelf stable milk at Dollar Tree also.. It is nice to have on hand for cooking and baking and for 1.00 it is great. I also have Better than Milk. It is a soy based milk powder and I actually like the taste of if for drinking or using it on my cereal. However it does not work well in coffee.

Janet, where did you get the "Better than Milk"? That sounds like something I would want to have on hand!

Sheila I ordered it quite a few years ago from Honeyville. Com. for my emergency pantry. I had two huge canisters and now down to the last half of my second canister. I can no longer find it at Honeyville. So looked in to it. The company does not sell directly to the public but referred me to Amazon but as you know Amazon wants you to buy a ton of them at one time. It cost $54.44 for 6 pouches. No longer being sold in the big canisters. Checked at Vitacost, not there. Did find it on Walmart.com but they are out of stock. However they are selling it in a small canister for $29.99. The thing is Amazon is cheaper in the long run if you have the money to invest in to 6 pouches all at one time. It cost approximately $9.09 at Amazon per pouch compared to $29.99 for one canister at Walmart. The canister and the pouch both make (32) 8 oz glasses of milk. It is great for drinking and cooking and using it on cereal but does nothing for adding to coffee. If I should run in to a cheaper place to buy it I will let you know. Wish we lived closer we could share a purchase.. Right now not willing to pay that high price. Glad I still have some left.
