Good afternoon all.

Jackie, I’m glad that you got your appointment.

Bev, I hope that the fires don’t come close to your area.

Today I had the class on the Manhattan Project. A friend went with me. She read a novel called Alamo City Girls about Oak Ridge in the 1940s and gave it to me to read. We both enjoyed it a lot even though I’m generally a non-fiction reader. The class, however, was pretty dull and too technical for us. There were some interesting parts but generally it was too scientific. (I was never good in science.) We ate in the small cafe attached to the continuing education center. It is a flat $5 buffet style but neither of us were impressed to say the least. But we enjoyed chatting as we always do so that was the best part of the day.

On the way home I stopped again at the rummage sale. (Bad FCL!) Everything is 1/2 price today. I bought two more tops, two quilted shams - which may be for Pippi’s bed, a votive holder and a nice sleep mask for trips. Total $2.50. I tried on the tops and one is perfect but the second one (Talbots brand but no size tag) is a bit big so I may just wear it around the house. The three tops I bought yesterday are all perfect fit.

Gas has really dropped in price to $2.33/gallon so I bought some on the way home.

A cold front is supposed to come through tomorrow so that will be nice.

Have a good evening.

Ok - now I am getting paranoid. Was my post removed for some reason? I posted early today and saw it go up and now it isn't here.

CG, don't be paranoid, it happens occasionally to all of us.

Gayle, I don't have any idea of how you do what you do and stay ahead of things. Like Rinty I am afraid that you are going to have a melt-down yourself. I know you have to do what you feel is best for your family, but please take care of yourself.
Rinty & LM,

Thank you So Much for your good wishes for me. Really, most of my exhaustion stems from getting a trace of gluten in some odd way, it really messes with me to where I have bad insomnia. Then with the Daylight Savings time change, well that never helps me anyhow. However, we have several long weekends coming up, and I will fully enjoy them, plus catch a couple of naps on the weekends!

I AM Subbing a lot right now, but there have been A lot of teacher training meetings going on, AND at the school I was in today, there are many Subs who refuse to go there as it has a reputation for hard-to-handle kids (perhaps so, but I have come to care for them). I'm also trying to earn extra right now to help with Christmas.... and I want to go to Denmark in May with my brothers, and that takes money too (especially as I'll have to wait until late Dec to buy my plane tickets).

Update

I got my appointment with the specialist and it is mid January. Not the nicest time to be on the highways but at least I get to spend Christmas at home. Hoping that things can be handled quickly and cleaning when I do go.

Bought those pots and pans. The old ones will be donated or I will see if youngest DS wants some of them. He could probably use some newer things (these are old but still in really good shape). Now just to wash up and dry the new ones before I put them away.

Talk to you all later.
Jackie, Glad you got your appointment all sorted.
