Jackie, I also had precancerous cells (in my uterus) and a cyst on an ovary So I actually had 2 hysterectomies done a month apart (they found the precancer during the first so the second one finished the job) Both were done laparoscopally and both as out patient. Most surgeries these days are done that way. Less invasive and no hospital stay reduces the risk for complications. You will be fine but may not feel up to chores or cooking the week after. I'm glad you found the answers to your issues.

Well I am home with both good news and not so good news.

First the good news. While the wonky cells are not cancer at this point in time, they are known as pre cancerous and if left for too long would more than likely become so.

The bad/and yet not bad news is the specialist recommended surgery as urgent. I had two choices. The first was just to remove the part of the cervix that had the cells and worry about them reappearing or have a total hysterectomy and never worry about it again. I picked the total much to Hubby's chagrin at the time. He now thinks differently.

I have some papers for my doctor to fill out and once she gets them back to the specialist the surgery will be booked. It could be as early as 2 weeks from when he gets the papers to 6 weeks after.

Finally things are getting to the end.

Have you read the reports that the grain free food is causing heart problems in dogs? Give me a dog any kind, any day. Couldn’t live without one, even if our four get me up by 5 every morning. My first friends were hound dogs of my brothers. We lived in the country.
I have not heard that about dogs & grain-free food.

I only know that when we got Hurley, he came with a sack of grain-free food. When we tried to change him to other kinds of dog, some with grain, he had diarrhea & vomited, so we kept him on the grain-free food.

Truthfully, I love our dog, even with all of his antics, and his separation anxiety. I love that he is tremendously concerned especially about dd6 -- I think she is his best friend.

I'm glad to know that you do not have cancer!

I wish you luck with your surgery. Will you have to have hormone replacement therapy? Or is that not something you have to worry about after a hysterectomy?
