Good morning fellow frugalites,

It is very overcast this morning, though no rain is falling. Hard to believe that another week has gone by with very little rain fall. The weather pundits keep forecasting rain, and lots of it, but nothing or very little happens. We are supposedly getting some decent rain over the next little while, so keeping my fingers crossed that this is true.

Last night there was a threat of huge hail, so I moved the plants under shelter. This morning I will be moving them all back to the proper position. If it rains, they all deserve a drink of the good stuff.

My day will follow much the same path as every day does for me. I will do household chores, sew a bit (machine ready to go), knit a bit, read a bit, and perhaps even get items out to bake a pie for Hubby for Father's Day. Just a normal day here on the old homestead.

I also want to get some more decluttering done. I find the occasional bit just walking around the house, but I really need to focus on that again and rid the house of more clutter and "stuff". This simplifying a life can get pretty complicated at times. Wonder why that is?

I am slightly afraid that my cholesterol has risen. I have been cheating a bit and eating some ice cream on those really hot days. Hopefully not, as I have a feeling the doctor will stick me on pills, which is something I really do not want to take due to the complications that can occur.

Speaking of doctors, still no call from the specialist in regards to my operation. This sitting and waiting is getting on my nerves. I phoned they have my papers and will get back to me. Sighs...…

Supper tonight will be Hamburgers with all the fixings. I will need to get my air fryer down to make some French fries. The burgers will be BBQ'ed if the weather allows, or pan fried if not.

Today I am grateful that it even looks like rain so early in the morning.

Everybody have a great day. Take care.

Good morning all,

I slept okay, just can't figure out why I can't sleep in a bit.
I have taken care of the chickens and gathered eggs.
It is supposed to be rainy and some storms but nothing yet. We had thought about doing some town wide garage sales but can't make up my mind if I want to or not. I had already said if it rains it is a no-go for me.

I may just spend my day, puttering around the homeplace. I enjoy my home and there is always something to do.
Jackie, I hope you get to grill out for your hamburgers...they are so good.
I have entered the ramen noodle salad recipe into the recipe folder. I know what I am having for lunch LOL
Have a good day all,

Good morning all.

I’ll be leaving around noon to go to the ballpark with my friends. My friend and her DH will pick me up. (Parking in the “official” parking lot is $20 so I’m glad I’m riding with them. They have a pass with their season ticket.) Our team is playing the California Angels. I plan to have a hot dog which I love but don’t eat often because I know they aren’t very healthy. Our ballpark is a dome so it is air conditioned. Should be a fun day.

We did get a hard rain at my house yesterday late afternoon. But looking out my glass door towards mom’s area the sky looked blue so I wonder if her house got it. We have many very localized rain storms here.

Have a good day.

Last night about 4:30 I got a call from my Doctors office that she wanted me over to the clinic to have another platelet test. I explained that I didn’t drive I couldn’t get there before 5. It was far too hot to walk. And that I couldn’t get a Taxi that quickly.

My daughter took me to the After hours clinic to have the test done.

I slept pretty good.

But I am still tired, I am sure that is stress.

I started tackling the dishes in the kitchen sink. I didn’t do any dishes yesterday. The dishwasher dishes are all in the dishwasher.

I need to pack just in case I get the go ahead. As my daughter will come over tomorrow morning to get my stuff. I aways take my pillow as her pillows are all too high.

Our Para Transit system is still scheduled to pick me up at 1 pm on Monday.

If I don’t hear anything this weekend I call Monday morning. To see what I can find out. Also to make sure they use my cell number to call me. Even though I have told them to call my cell they still call on my land line.

If the surgery is postponed I need to cancel my ride by 11 am to avoid a penalty. In any case if I haven’t heard by the time my ride is scheduled to leave I will be going over to her house.

She will bring me home either the day after surgery if I get the go ahead if not she will bring me home the next day.

Another bright sunny south texas morning.

Still not using AC and still feeling okay. The COD even told me to bring him a blanket yesterday morning! I think keeping the windows open is the key - duh of course. LOL

I do remember coming back to the house after being away for weeks. So hot and stuffy isnce it was all closed up. Good for the winter times.

I slept well last night. And my little pup didn't start whining until 730. He is spoiled. Wants his special food etc. He's asleep now. The other pups have been out already

Will jump in the shower soon. Then take off to run some errands.

Hope all have a great day.
