A well-stocked pantry can save you money, and help you maintain a healthy diet. When you have plenty of food on hand, you won’t be tempted to eat out nearly as often.
Not sure what to keep in your pantry? Use this printable pantry master list as a jumping off point. It lists common baking supplies, herbs, spices, dried goods, canned and jarred foods, condiments, pasta and grains, snacks and drinks. Stock your pantry with these foods, and you’ll have the building blocks for lots of cheap and healthy meals.
Following a specific diet? This two-page list is easy to customize to your needs. Just cross out any foods you don’t eat, and write in the foods that you do.
Keep this pantry master list in your household notebook, or hang it in your pantry, so you can use it to determine what you need to stock up on. You might even find it helpful to laminate your copy, so you can write on it with a wet-erase marker.
Building up a well-stocked pantry takes time, so don’t feel like you have to do it all at once. Buy things when you find them on sale, and before long you’ll have everything on the list.
