Have an ice cream maker? Then, you have to try my super-simple and oh-so-tasty recipe for frozen hot chocolate. It’s the perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day, and tastes like something that came from an expensive coffee shop.

This is the first of several frozen drink recipes that I’ll be sharing with you in the coming weeks. While developing ice cream recipes this summer, it suddenly occurred to me that an ice cream maker could probably also be used to make frozen drinks, and that led to all sorts of tasty experiments and new recipes that I’m eager to share with you.

This frozen hot cocoa recipe was a big hit with my family. I used my homemade hot cocoa mix, and topped the whole thing off with a big dollop of homemade whipped cream. Yum!
