Finding good deals is an important part of saving money, but did you know that you can also use that skill to make money? Yep, you sure can.
Whenever you find a deal that’s too-good-to-be-true, go share it over on Dealspotr.com. It’s a deal site, like RetailMeNot or Savings.com, but with one key difference: it awards its members points for posting deals. Share a promo code, a freebie or a hot sale, and you’ll receive points that you can cash in for Amazon gift cards.
You can also earn points for checking to see if the deals other members shared are still valid. And that’s important because it means Dealspotr cares about displaying accurate information. How many times have you found a promo code on a deal site only to discover that it’s expired when you go to use it? With Dealspotrs 30,000+ members constantly checking the validity of deals, this is far less likely to happen.
How Much Can You Earn on Dealspotr?
You’ll earn a $10 Amazon gift card for every 10,000 points that you earn. Each time you post or validate a deal, you’ll be awarded points. How many points depends on your status on the site. Earn a reputation for posting accurate information and hot deals, and you’ll receive more points. In the beginning, there’s a cap on how many deals you can post each day, but that number will go up as your accuracy rating goes up. I’ve now reached the point where I can post as many deals as I’d like, and I earn considerably more points per deal.
You won’t get rich doing this, but for the small amount of time that it takes to post deals, it’s a pretty painless way to earn Amazon gift cards. This would be a fun way to save up for something that you’ve been wanting or a good way to cover the cost of your Christmas gifts.
Ways to Max Out Points
If you want to earn as many Amazon gift cards as possible, there are several things you can do to speed up your earnings.
1. Complete your daily checklist each day.
It has four tasks for you to complete, things like posting a freebie and sharing two promo codes. If you do all of them, you’ll receive 200 bonus points (this is in addition to the points that you’d normally earn for doing those things).
2. Post deals for shopper requested stores.
Earn three times as many points by posting promo codes for one of the stores that shoppers have requested. You can find a link to the current request list by clicking on your green accuracy score button located at the top right corner of the website.
3. Be accurate and post often
Take care to post accurate information, and share deals often to drive up the number of points you earn per deal. It only takes a few minutes to post a deal, so it’s an easy thing to work into your day.
What’s Involved in Posting a Deal?
When you go to post a deal, you’ll first be asked to enter the name of the store the deal pertains to, and to choose which type of deal you’ll be posting:
- promo code
- coupon, sale announcement or in-store printable
- deal on a specific product at a noteworthy price
You’ll then be asked to enter information for the type of deal you chose. If you’re entering a promo code, it’ll display all of the promo codes that they already have for that store. If you don’t see yours on the list, you’re free to add it.
On the next screen, you’ll then be asked to enter all the specifics of the deal, including the expiration date, a link to the deal and a screenshot showing the offer. It takes a few minutes to input everything, but I think it’s great that they require so much information. It ensures that they’re only running current deals, that have all the information shoppers need to make them work.
Once you’ve entered everything, you click to post the deal, and you’re awarded your points. Easy enough.
Where to Find Deals to Post
If you receive e-mails from your favorite stores, those e-mails are a great source for codes and sales to post. When I see one hit my inbox, I check to see if anyone has posted their latest deal yet.
