How to Avoid Fandango, Atom and AMC Convenience Fees

Like the convenience of buying movie tickets online, but hate paying the convenience fee? At $1.50 to $2 per ticket, it’s not hard to see why. Fortunately, there’s a simple work around for that.
Just buy your tickets through Facebook’s Movies page, and Facebook will pay the online convenience fees for you. This works for Fandango, Atom and AMC Theatres, so this savings hack should allow you to buy tickets to just about any theater.
To take advantage of this deal, simply choose the theater you’d like to go to; select a movie and show time; then, pick whether you’d like to check out with Fandango, Atom or AMC. Once you make your selection, you’ll be taken over to that company’s website to complete the transaction.
If you have a rewards account with any of these companies, be sure to log in, before you finish checking out, so you earn rewards on your purchase.
Facebook says this is a limited time offer, but it’s been going on for at least a year now, so hopefully that means it’s going to be around for a while.

Thank you so much! My conscience won’t allow me to pay the $2 convenience fees per ticket, so this was a great way to save $4 (and feel great) for our date night.
Thank you so much! I just saved $8 on AMC tickets! ???
Awesome 🙂
I wonder if this has expired???? I tried 1/3/2020 and it did not take off the convenience fee.
Hi Sandra,
I’m looking into this. I know it was still working in December, but when I just tested it, it didn’t take the convenience fee off for me either. I’m wondering if this offer may have expired at the end of the year. I’m going to do some digging, and see what I can find out.
Is this deal still valid? It’s charging me a convenience fee now.
Hi Joe, I tested the offer last week, and it was charging me a convenience fee, too. It looks like this offer may have ended at the beginning of the year. I plan to research new options, so stay tuned.
Sadly, I’m pretty sure this deal has expired. I used it about 5 times so I’m glad I was able to take advantage but so sad!!

Yep, I think it must have expired at the end of 2019. I’m on the lookout for another deal.
