Lavender Lemonade

Make this lavender lemonade your go-to drink for outdoor parties and scorching hot summer days. The flavor and fragrance of the lavender balances perfectly with the tartness of the lemons.
It’s made with simple syrup, and flavored with dried lavender buds. If you have English lavender growing in your garden, you can use your own dried lavender, otherwise just buy some dried culinary lavender buds.
In terms of time, this lavender lemonade doesn’t take any longer to make than regular lemonade. So, you don’t even need the excuse of a special occasion to make a batch.
If you want your lemonade to have a lavender hue, like mine, just add a few drops of food coloring to the simple syrup or finished lemonade. Otherwise, your lemonade will turn out pale pink.

How to Make Lavender Lemonade
This recipe makes two quarts of lemonade as written. If you need a bunch for a party, just double, triple or quadruple the recipe. It’s easy to stretch.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 batch of lavender simple syrup <–here’s the recipe
- 1 cup lemon juice (fresh-squeezed or bottled)
- 6 cups cold water
- Food coloring (optional)
What You Do:
Stir the ingredients together in a two-quart pitcher.
Serve over ice.
