Ever gotten your Internet service provider to fill your freezer with meat? I have. We signed up for a faster Internet connection a couple months ago (our price stayed the same), and received a $100 Visa gift card in the mail for upgrading. Determined to stretch that money as far as possible, I paired it with a killer sale at The Fresh Market and got 15 pounds of ground beef and 15 pounds of chicken breast (give or take a few ounces) for $5.97 out of pocket. This is all high-quality, free-range meat, so I feel like I got a killer deal.
And better still: the butcher didn’t mind wrapping each pound up separately, so I didn’t have to do that myself when I got home. We just sorted everything into two bins: one for chicken, one for beef, and popped them both in the freezer.
