Places You Can Stay in a Teepee

Teepees at a Campground

Staying in a teepee is decidedly cooler than staying in a hotel room, and it happens to be cheaper, too. Here are a bunch of places where you can stay in a teepee for as little as $20 a night. Most of these teepees sleep four to six people, and come furnished with beds or cots. Some even have air conditioning and full bathrooms.

Tip:Book a teepee as soon as you have firm travel plans. Reservations fill up fast. Some businesses use the alternate spelling of “tipi” or “tepee,” so don’t let that throw you when you go to book your stay.

State Parks With Teepees

Traveling to a popular tourist spot? Save money by booking lodgings in a state park. All of these parks have teepees that you can reserve. For more information about any of them, just Google the name of the park. Some state parks handle their own reservations; others use Reserve America.

If you don’t see a state listed, it’s because I wasn’t able to find any parks with teepees in that state. Let me know, if you’re aware of any parks that I missed.
