Slap a pretty label on your home-canned goods, and suddenly they become gift-worthy, which is why I’m excited to announce that I have not one, but six sets of canning jar labels for you to print and use, including several that you can customize with your own text.

The first three sets are editable, so you can add your own information to them before you hit print. Just select your favorite font, and type all the important details in the blank fields – what you made, who it’s from, all that good stuff.

These are available in regular-mouth and wide-mouth sizes. Click on the size you need, to download the file. I recommend opening the labels in Adobe Reader (available as a free download), so all the edit functions will work as intended.

Use them to add a longer message to your canned goods, or use them on their own. The tops in this set are editable, but the bands aren’t.

Here are three more sets of canning jar labels for you to use. These aren’t editable, so you’ll need to print them out and fill them in by hand.

Print Instructions:

Click on the link for the design that you want, and wait for it to load (this may take a minute). If it’s an editable file, type your own text into the text fields. Hit “Ctrl” + “E,” if you’d like to change the font or font size. Then, load full-sheet label paper into your printer, following the manufacturer instructions. Make sure your printer is set to print actual size. Then, hit print.

These labels are designed to be printed on full-sheet label paper. Use Avery Label 8165 for inkjet printers, or Avery Label 5265 for laser printers.

Many web browsers have their own built-in PDF viewers, but they tend to be buggy. If you’re having trouble printing or editing one of our printables, click here for help.

    • Thanks 🙂 I print them on full-page shipping labels. I invested in an adjustable circle cutter a while back to speed up the cutting process.

        • I don’t actually have a large circle punch yet. I keep hoping I’ll come across one at a yard sale. I should put that on my Christmas list 🙂 When I have canning labels to cut out, I either cut them out by hand, or use my Brother Scan N Cut (similar to a Silhouette or a Cricut). I have a Martha Stewart circle cutter that let’s you cut any size circle. It works well, but it’s more for cutting circles out of scrapbook paper, than cutting specific things out. Sorry I’m not more help. I think you managed to ask about one of the few craft tools that I don’t have yet 🙂

  1. Came up as a PDF and you can’t edit PDF files. Tried for over and hour to figure it out and no such luck. Very cute idea but didn’t work for me

  2. Erin, the canning jar labels are AWESOME! I am a canning fanatic and am always cutting out scrap pieces of paper to label the jars. Your labels are super cute and very editable!
Thank you so much for sharing!

  3. I would like to print an entire page with only the first column of labels in the Brown Kraft Paper canning labels, leaving off the other designs. Is there a way to do this?

    • Hi Jennifer,

Most of the canning labels are available in both regular mouth and wide mouth sizes. There are a few sets that only fit regular mouth jars. Just click on the link for the size that you need.

  4. Thank you for sharing your talent so freely. I am going to make roasted fruit jam for Christmas and these labels will complete the effect for which I am striving.
    Good thoughts from Alberta, Canada
